The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour and MP Sean Casey will be at Startup Zone for an exciting announcement about how the Government of Canada is helping post-secondary students get paid work experience in Atlantic Canada.
The event will feature a panel discussion on the changing workplace landscape and the importance of work experience during post-secondary education.

About the Panel:
Sean Casey is honoured to serve as the Member of Parliament for Charlottetown. Sean is currently the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, Mélanie Joly. Sean has extensive legal and business experience and was the Regional Managing Partner at the law firm of Stewart McKelvey. He worked extensively in strategic planning, financial management, operations and human resources.
Symone Jennings is a community builder who is committed to inspiring others to become opportunity creators in their local community and globally. For the past three years, she’s been coordinating the Student Ambassador Program offered by the Pond-Deshpande Centre at the University of New Brunswick where she inspires students to take risks, become more engaged citizens, get comfortable with the process of failure and create positive change within their communities.
Stewart Hillhouse is a Venture for Canada Fellow in the 2017 Cohort. After graduating in 2016, he turned his focus towards the business side of things by getting his Masters of Engineering in Technology Management & Entrepreneurship also at UNB. Stewart’s environmental background has allowed him to work in many interesting spots across Canada.
