IP agreements are contracts between or among collaborating institutions for the purchase and sale of IP rights. They set the rights/responsibilities of each institution concerning IP that may be created during the term of the collaboration.
This workshop with Donna MacEwan of McInnes Cooper will deal with the agreements you would put in place to develop, protect, and commercialize your IP and would include Confidentiality Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) or Evaluation Agreements, Testing Agreements, Research Agreements, Development Agreements, License Agreements and Assignments. We will also discuss the importance of IP terms in Employment Agreements. This will serve as a follow-up to Donna’s “Into to Trademarks” session.
