Free Tax Help for Small Businesses w/ CRA Liaison Officer (Hybrid Event)
March 7 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Don’t miss out!!! Start Up Zone is hosting a free hybrid event with a CRA Liaison Officer on March 7th at 2pm. They will be providing free tax support and guidance for small businesses and the self-employed.
What to expect?
This will be a hybrid event with a virtual speaker broadcasted in our boardroom. Attendees have the option to register for in-person or virtually. If attending in-person, you will be presented the opportunity to network and meet new peers. This is a FREE event, and we are only accepting 10 in-person registrants and the remaining spots will be virtual.
Kindly note that attendance requires pre-registration to attend. Make sure to sign-up today to reserve your spot!
Why should you attend?
Wouldn’t it be great to know that you are doing things right, before you file your small business tax returns? Through the Liaison Officer service, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) offers free support and guidance to small businesses and self-employed individuals to help you meet your tax obligations. For this webinar, we are excited to welcome Marlie Rayner and Stephen Burton.
Want to save time and money?
CRA liaison officers are available across Canada to help ensure that business owners like you understand your tax obligations and are aware of possible tax deductions. Liaison officers will also explain how to avoid common errors that could end up costing time and money. You can request an in-person visit, or small business groups can request a seminar.
How does it work?
During this hybrid seminar, a liaison officer will:
- Answer tax-related questions (income tax, GST/HST and payroll)
- Discuss business tax deductions
- Explain common tax errors and financial benchmarks for your industry or a comparable one
- Provide an overview of helpful tools and services offered by the CRA
- Explain general bookkeeping concepts and best practices or, during in-person visits, offer advice and help with setting up an effective bookkeeping system for your business.
All questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
