Futurpreneur Canada is the only national non-profit that provides resources, financing and mentoring to aspiring business owners ages 18 to 39. Since 1996, we have supported over 12,000 young entrepreneurs launch over 10,000 Canadian businesses in every province and territory across the country, 42% of which are women led. Mentoring is at the core of what we do, as we match every entrepreneur that we finance with a business expert from a network of 3,000 volunteer mentors. Futurpreneur is a founding member of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, the Canadian member of Youth Business International and the Canadian host of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

About the presenter:
David Eisnor is an entrepreneur. He has experience with small business consulting specializing in business start-ups; renovating and restoring old homes and running both a tourism and farming business.
David has nearly twenty years of experience supporting entrepreneurs with business start-up through his experience working with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED), the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, and most recently in his role at Futurpreneur Canada (formerly CYBF).
David has demonstrated his passion for entrepreneurship by successfully opening and running the Halifax Backpackers Hostel. In 2004 he and his business partner were named Young Entrepreneurs of the year with the Business Development Bank of Canada, and the Best Business Award for Community Involvement with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). He sold this business to his business partner in 2008. Most recently, David embarked on a new venture in farming. He is in the process of setting up a haskap orchard in Upper Branch, NS, with the hopes of expanding into value-added products and eventually Agri-Tourism. He is also an investment property owner and property manager.
In his free time, he volunteers as Chair of the Black Business Community Investment Fund Limited and is a board member of the Haskap Growers Association of Nova Scotia.
David holds a business degree from Acadia University.
