Acting Operations Manager
Sarah moved to PEI from Germany last year after finishing her graduate studies with a focus on psychology and statistics. As a graduate student she has worked at the Max Planck Institute, where she spent the majority of her time reaching out to the community to find participants for a variety of studies. When she moved to PEI in 2019, she started working as a Program Consultant for CHANCES Inc., an island non-profit that provides parent support services to children and their families. As a consultant, she liaised with the provincial government, and was always on the lookout for new funding opportunities. She likes to never stop growing and learning and teaches herself programming and web design in her free time. Sarah is passionate about organising and planning and has experience working in a variety of work settings. Regardless of the setting, her greatest passion is connecting with people and helping others achieve their goals. Sarah is very excited to bring this passion to the Startup Zone community.
Entrepreneur In Residence
Mikey, who is the current co-owner of Nimrods’, has more than a decade of experience working with startups that he will draw on to help support the growth of resident companies. Throughout his career, he has helped grow Upstreet Craft Brewing, GetGifted, and several online retail brands before launching Nimrods’ with his co-founders, a company that has experienced extraordinary growth in a short time, despite the challenges recently faced by the restaurant industry. He hopes his creativity and drive will help to inspire and guide new entrepreneurs.
Startup Services Coordinator
Molly graduated from Oakland University in 2016 with a major in Spanish Language and Literature and a minor in French. She discovered her love for working in an office setting through her various experiences in administrative roles, and since graduating has actively sought these opportunities.
Originally from Michigan, Molly moved to the island in 2018 to get married and has lived here since. She previously worked as a receptionist for the PEI International Business Centre, and is very excited to work in another environment that enriches the small business community.
Molly is looking forward to learning more about the entrepreneurial experience and lending her assistance in helping the Startup Zone run smoothly.
