Celebrating International Women’s Day at SUZ!

In Canada’s smallest province, female founders are making big moves in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

At Startup Zone in 2020, we are sitting at over 45% female founders – one of the highest percentages of any incubator in the country! This is a stat that we love to show off, and we figured there was no better time than International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2020.

Below are just a few of the awesome female founders doing amazing things in our community:

 

Tracey Gairns Brioux

Tracey is the founder of Reset Breathe Fitness, an online fitness community with a focus on living better through movement. Tracey started the business 2.5 years ago after the birth of her fourth child and teachers live from her home each morning at 5:30 am. “I know my kids are watching me try and make a difference and that is my greatest motivator.”

Robyn Gallant

Robyn is the Founder and CEO of Eventurous Consulting, an Event Management and Facilitation company based out of Stratford PEI. Newly federally incorporated, she is fast-tracking her business to expand all across Canada by 2021. Robyn realized very early in life she didn’t want to work for a boss – she wanted to work it AS the boss. She gains her inspiration from strong, passionate and sarcastic women who aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves, and at life in general. 

 

 

 

Stephanie Terpstra

Steph is the owner and operator of Summer Street Creative: a branding studio in Charlottetown aiming to help local PEI entrepreneurs develop a strong and authentic brand. When not designing and strategizing, you can find her at the Startup Zone coaching as the Branding Specialist. Having always been an “ideas” gal, Steph finds entrepreneurship highly rewarding because she gets to see growth in the businesses she coaches and sees her clients profit from their passions!
