Futurpreneur Meet-Up: The Importance of Mentorship in Entrepreneurship

November 16, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

When it comes to surviving the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, a mentor can make all the difference — they’re essentially a game-changer!

So why don’t all entrepreneurs have mentors? There are times when people do not realize how important it is, and there are times when it can be difficult to find one or to find the right person to help you. Join us and Futurpreneur during Global Entrepreneurship Week, Wednesday, November 16th, to learn more about mentorship and how you can find the right mentor to help you succeed!

About Futurpreneur
We support young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18-39. We provide up to $60,000 in collateral-free financing and mentorship with an experienced business professional for up to two years. We also have a suite of free online tools and resources available to help with your business planning. We strongly believe in giving you all the necessary tools and guidance you need to be successful! Check out our website for more information: http://futurpreneur.ca/en/get-started/financing-and-mentoring. We also have programs to support Black and Indigenous Entrepreneurs, and a Side Hustle Program.

For the mentoring side, our mentors have a minimum of 5 years of entrepreneurial experience or a minimum of 15 years of intrapreneurial experience. The commitment is two years long and generally about 4 hours a month of a commitment by the mentor. We try to match based on the skill gap that the YE addresses, location and Industry when it makes sense. https://www.futurpreneur.ca/en/mentoring/
