David Eisnor is an entrepreneur. He has experience with small business consulting specializing in business start-ups; renovating and restoring old homes; and running both a tourism and farming business.
David has over fifteen years of experience supporting entrepreneurs with business start-up through his experience working with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED), the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, and most recently in his role at Futurpreneur Canada (formerly CYBF) where he has helped to support over 600 young entrepreneurs across Atlantic Canada.
David has demonstrated his passion for entrepreneurship by successfully opening and running the Halifax Backpackers Hostel. In 2004 he and his business partner were named Young Entrepreneurs of the year with the Business Development Bank of Canada, and the Best Business Award for Community Involvement with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). He sold this business to his business partner in 2008. Most recently, David embarked on a new venture in farming. He is in the process of setting up a haskap orchard in Upper Branch, NS, with the hopes of expanding into value added products and eventually Agri-Tourism. He is also an investment property owner and property manager.
In his free time, he volunteers as Chair of the Black Business Community Investment Fund Limited.
David holds a business degree from Acadia University.
