CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Startup Zone is excited to announce the appointment of Patrick Farrar as their new CEO. Patrick assumed responsibility of the CEO role on Monday, July 16th, succeeding Interim CEO Shannon Pratt as she moves on to Innovation PEI, Cultural Development Division as the Creative Industries Development Officer.

Patrick is joining the Startup Zone team with vast experience in supporting and building early-stage companies. Originally from Halifax, Patrick attended Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University for his Bachelor of Management, Entrepreneurship. He then attended Saint Mary’s University for his MBA in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations. Patrick has been involved in the creation of over a dozen ventures in various sectors, helping raise millions in financing. Patrick has lived in Toronto for the past few years where he co-founded and held the position of COO at Venture for Canada, a social enterprise that recruits, trains, and supports recent graduates to work at startups in need of talent.
